The Road of the Annunciation of the Angel
In Benabbio you can admire the museum that hosts the Annunciation of Piero d’Angelo, father of Jacopo della Quercia, dated 1394, the church of S. Maria Assunta is dedicated to the saints Filippo Giacomo and an ancient castle.
Passing through Ponte a Serraglio and heading towards Granaiola, you can also see Villa and Tempietto Demidoff. Continuing, you will reach Granaiola, Pieve di Monti di Villa and Monti di Villa with their picturesque alleys and their religious buildings.
The last site, Montefegatesi, will show you a town lying on a rocky spur and strategic point to defend the Republic. Amongst the things to see, the church of S. Frediano and the monument to Dante Alighieri.
